Rob took a picture of me blogging just now so we can add this to the book of goofy holiday pictures. And that's a Christmas blanket I have over me, not a fleece house frock!

Brian You're the coolest Santa I know. Is the hat also fleece? I think you're fleecing us.
Talking about fleece, a few years ago George and I went to Scotland in the Spring time. The new lambs were out in the fields with little blankets on them. It was pretty cold. I think you look cuter than those little lambs. Mom
Hi Brian, Thanks so much for the great posts. I hope this week the side effects are being kind to you. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy Birthday on the 26th. Lots of love, Carolyn
Hi Brian: this is the first time that I am blogging. How cool is this on the rainy Christmas Eve day. Hope you enjoy the combined holidays and your birthday and our wish and prayers are that 2009 will be a healing year foryou. You are providing such a service for your your friends and family who care for you to let us know how you are doing. Best wishes to Robbie, Vicki and David o
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRIAN!! I hope you had fun celebrating the holidays...The Fergusons had a lovely fish fest...the nog was flowing as was the Irish Mist!!! Stay warm..it looks like you've got a jump on that
After my continued badgering of how I should attempt to get in touch with you, John finally gave in to informing me of your illness and was kind enough to provide me the link to your incredible blog. I know you wanted to keep this as low key as possible, so please don't be upset at him. I could be quite the pest as you probably know by now :) I know you don't know me that well so I hope it's ok that I follow your path to recovery with your amazing family and friends. The love they have exuded in all their posts are a bit overwhelming to me. You are truly blessed!
I have to say, I always wondered why it was so difficult to get in touch with you after the first time we met in my office this past Summer. We had such a great meeting followed by a short but very nice lunch. To learn this was part of the reason was disturbing and of course very upsetting. I cannot tell you how much I'm thinking and praying for you. Pray conquers all! To know He is listening and watching over you is SO critical, especially now, I cannot even begin to explain. Don't mean to get too spiritual here but I'm a huge fan. Mainly because it works! Even stronger when it's communal which a blog wonderfully promotes.
My best friend's son was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia at the age of 7 last year and his parents did this same thing through a fantastic site called Caringbridge.com. The love, support and prayer he received through there was incredible! Today he is cancer free!! A truly amazing story! Similar to what's going to happen with you. He was also was treated at MSK and received the same great care as you are getting. They are a fantastic group of people who really put their entire body and soul into their patient's recovery.
I wish you a happy and "on the road" to a healthy New Year! My prayers and good wishes will be with you all the way!

I had to take a closer look at that Christmas blanket before I recognized it. It looks a little small, could you do with a larger one?
